I think it’s pretty obvious at this point who my favorite Marvel character is. Our favorite web-slinger has stolen so many of our hearts, and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the MCU has such a lightheartedness and fun persona about him (along with many of the other variations of Spidey we have gotten as well throughout the years!). No matter who your favorite Spidey is, it’s very clear how much of an impact his character has had on so many. My love for him only continues to grow with every new piece of media we receive. And so today, I wanted to talk about some of my favorite Spidey scenes by listing my top 5 favorite MCU Spider-Man moments! Number 5: "You have a metal arm? That is awesome dude!"The very fist time we ever got MCU Spidey on screen is forever stuck in my brain. I remember at first being upset that they had recast Andrew, but quickly discovered that Tom’s Spidey was my new fave! The scene where Bucky tries to take him out and realizes that he is quite literally a child never fails to make me laugh. Buck’s reaction is everything here, and Peter is just so Spidey in this scene! Number 4: The Friendly Neighborhood Homecoming MontageOne of the things that makes Peter stand out so much from other MCU heroes is how much he enjoys doing the friendly neighborhood stuff! The montage in Homecoming when he’s running around trying to help everyone out is just so pure and llght-hearted. And the notes he leaves behind in the movie are especially some of my faves! “Is this your bike? If not, don’t steal it!” Number 3: "I'm strong and I'm sticky!"Peter’s team up with Mysterio is just classic Spidey all around! The fact that he’s quick to try and find a makeshift disguise (aka the masquerade mask) is such a funny part of the whole scene. And just the classic Parker luck with the clock tower crumbling and him repeatedly hitting his head on the bell is so true to character. He’s truly trying his best LOL. Number 2: The No Way Home Opening SceneThe pure chaos that is this scene is SOOO so good! MJ freaking out, Peter panicking as he tries to get around the city and calling Ned while leaving MJ just standing on the side of the scaffolding? Swinging through the subway? It’s all SO good. Number 1: "Peter 1, Peter 2, Peter 3!"The swing with all three of the Spideys in No Way Home gives me the chills no matter how much I watch it. The way they swing off of one another, and are all cheering as they head into their fight just gives me such an endorphin rush!
It was so hard to pick just 5 moments for this blog post, because there are so many others I love! I can never get enough Spidey! What are some of your favorite moments?

You guys...we DID IT! We watched all three seasons of Daredevil! It feels like just yesterday we started the series, and it feels so strange to know that it's over now. I wanted to spend today's blog post just talking about my thoughts on the show now that we finished it and what I thought of the plot, the characters, the costumes, all that good stuff!
Overall, I loved the show. The plot is SO good. The storylines were amazing all three seasons and I LOVED loved loved them. Personally, if I were to rank the seasons I think I would say that Season 1 was my favorite, followed by Season 3 and then followed up by Season 2 (though all of them were loved individually for different reasons). Season 1 just had that origin-story feel to it that I so loved. It was so much fun getting to learn about the characters and the Fisk vs. Daredevil stuff was SO awesome. This show definitely put Fisk as #1 on my list of favorite Marvel villains. Season 3 I think was a favorite for me too because it constantly kept us on our toes. And some of the scenes...WOW! That one-camera jail fight scene still sticks in my head even weeks after we've watched it. Season 2 I think ranks last for me because as much as I loved Elektra and Matt, the gore was a little much for me at times, and I personally felt that the plot just didn't live up to the first and third seasons as much for me. Obviously, I've talked many a time about how much I love Fisk as a villain in this. I can't wait to have more of him in Born Again. I loved the character development we got for Matt over the course of the seasons (even if he drove me nuts in the third season, our boy was really going through it HAHAH). I HATED Dex in the third season, literally the worst, which is what they wanted, but I just really really despised him HAHAH. Karen and Foggy are the BEST in this show, I really grew to adore Foggy's character (he's such a sweetie, always trying to look out for the best of people). Karen was a character that took me a while to warm up to, but I think especially in the third season we really got more of her back story and character development and that helped me love her character more. And then of course the other side characters we got were also fun to have as well, like Nadeem and Stick (who I have mixed feelings about). All of them definitely made me want to start reading some Daredevil comics! Costumes in this show were INSANE for Matt. It was so fun how they got him back to his roots with the OG suit in the third season, as well. Just him vibing with the black mask HAHAH. I'm curious if they'll go back to his red suit for Born Again, or keep his "ketchup and mustard" look to be more comic accurate. But listen, all I'm asking is that we get one in-MCU scene of him with that "I'm Not Daredevil" shirt on. I want it so bad 😂 I'll for sure be adding Matt to more skits, especially as we get closer to Born Again's release date and upcoming Marvel projects. Though I think I'll have to stick with his black mask and shirt look for a while 😋 Although this ends our Daredevil watch parties, we still have some exciting lives upcoming that I want to share with you all! I will be going live on TikTok with Marvel (yes, the Marvel) to start our very own comic book club using Marvel's app Marvel Unlimited!*. Our first live was yesterday afternoon, but if you want to join us on our next upcoming live, be sure to read House of M (2005) before this upcoming Sunday! And Marvel was awesome enough to give us a code to use for our comic book club. Go to marvel.com/fpp and use code FPP2023 at checkout to get your first month free on Marvel Unlimited. You'll be able to read along with us for the rest of the time that we do our TikTok Lives! This is a great way to start getting into the comics and talk about it with other Marvel fans. We had so much fun yesterday and I cannot wait to do it again this upcoming Sunday! *#ad Lives, related videos and posts sponsored by Marvel. Thank you all so much for coming along with me on these Daredevil Watch Party livestreams! It has been such a joy getting to watch these with you each week. Virtual hugs to you all! <3 You guys, I am SO so pumped for this movie! I absolutely lost it when we got to see our girls on our screens again this morning (and also, the fact that this is the trailer they will most likely play before Guardians?! I cannot WAIT to relive this on the big screen!). Okay, so clearly there's a lot to break down here. We have been blessed beyond belief with content the past week, wow!
Okay so FIRST of all, the visuals in this trailer are absolutely GORGEOUS! The colors had me in awe right off the bat. I'm really interested to know more about Secret Invasion now because of this trailer, as well. Do we know if this movie takes place during or after SI? Or even before? But anyways, I was laughing because Monica is once again reaching out and touching weird glowy shield things (love her for that LOL). BOY am I pumped to have more Kamala Khan in this!! Iman is just such a wonderful casting for her character and I love how she freaks out when she sees Fury in the ship hahah! The Beastie Boys playing in the back?! Man, Marvel is always so good picking these songs! The concept of all of them continuing to switch places throughout the film is so interesting as well, I feel like this is gonna be so chaotic but SO much fun. And I also love that it's going to pick us up right back where we left off in Ms. Marvel with Carol landing in Kamala's room. I love that even just from the trailer we get to learn a little bit more about Monica's powers! And Kamala fangirling is literally me HAHAH she is so funny. Not her absolutely panicking when Goose obliterates those guys in front of her 😂. But I am super pumped to see Carol reunite with Monica and Fury!!! And I'm sorry, but the shot of the three of them in the space ship together? AMAZING. This team up is gonna be EPIC. Regardless of Monica and Carol refusing to admit they are a team ;) What do you all think? Personally, this is definitely next in line for one of my most anticipated Marvel projects this year! Man, we were certainly blessed with SO much pop culture content last week, huh? Between the Spider-Verse, Barbie, and Secret Invasion, my head was SPINNING! And I also saw it was rumored on Twitter that we might get a The Marvels this Tuesday 👀 I am seated and READY I cannot wait! But before we're looking at what we might get this week, let's talk last week, yeah? Secret InvasionI am SUPER pumped to have Nick Fury back in action in the MCU! I have missed his character so much, and I feel like Samuel L. Jackson is just so perfect in the role. I feel like this trailer really gave us everything and nothing all at once. I get the general idea of the plot of the show but there is still sooooo much we don't know! And I LOVE that! I actually really like going into things completely blind with no information because it makes the twists and turns of the show/film that much more interesting! Also we get our girl Maria Hill back too and I CANNOT WAIT I've missed her as well! I find it really interesting the little bits they've given us about the Skrulls so far. I loved the Skrulls in Captain Marvel so it's going to be awesome to have an entire show about them! Also the idea that Fury just has a whole weaponry hidden in a cemetery took me out, I don't know why I thought it was so funny 😭. I'm also really intrigued by the "Where are the Avengers?" line, because I feel like this show is really going to tie in to the future of the MCU and the possible formation of a new team now that (most of) the OG 6 are no longer with us. Also RHODEY?! I COULD SCREAM I adore him. Armor Wars is like a distant dream at this point, but I'm so glad we keep getting little cameos until then! And I'm super stoked to have Emilia Clarke join the MCU, and really intrigued with her character! Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Official Trailer #2You guys KNOW how much the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man characters mean to me. I really cannot wait for this movie! It is so so close now, and there was sooo much stuff that happened in this trailer.
I love how we started off strong with Miles giving his intro like the other Spider-Peeps in the first Spider-Verse film. Right off the bat I was already gasping at the graphics, I just love this animation style soooo so much. You can really tell right away how much Miles is struggling with the balance of being Spider-Man versus his personal life, which I feel is a struggle that many of the Spider-Verse characters each go through in their own time. Absolutely died when The Spot came on, this character is so funny and we've barely seen much so far 😂. Bringing back "What's Up Danger" for this trailer was an absolute genius move because I get chills every time I listen to this song. It just fits the entire Spidey storyline so well, and that Miles jump scene from the first Spider-Verse movie makes me cry without fail every time I rewatch. I'm really curious how they are going to explain the inter-dimensional jumping! It may be a sort of "Web of Life" situation like in the comics, maybe? I know it's Miguel's idea but HOW DID HE DO IT). I'm sure will get more details as the movie goes down. There are sooooo many new Spider-People and I cannot WAIT to hang out with them all on the big screen! I am especially excited to see Spider-Woman and Miguel (Spider-Man 2099, also love my boy Oscar Issac!!!). The Spider-Man: No Way Home reference absolutely TOOK ME OUT I couldn't believe it! And Peter B. Parker and Mayday?! I COULD CRY they are so cute!!! Really stressed for Gwen though because why is she watching another Peter die? 🥹 I'm not ready. Crying already over the plot because you can tell Miles just wants to do the right thing, but so do the other Spideys and it's probably a really tough situation and I'M STRESSED FOR EVERYONE OKAY. All of the lines are making me so emotional, the stuff about Uncle Ben, the "Nah. Imma do my own thing." the VISUALS. I am stressing big time. But hey. At least they threw in a good Spidey point meme to lighten the mood HAHAH. (Also the Spider-Man at the end in the therapy session? I can't. I love these movies LOL). June 2nd is so farrrrr. (P.S. I also loved the International opening of the trailer as well. It was so awesome they included the live action Spideys! I'm curious if this means we'll have cross overs at some point? Or if it's more of just a head-nod of appreciation. Only time will tell!). Both of these trailers were PHENOMENAL and I can't wait to see what Marvel has in store for us. Trailer days are always EPIC :D Hello my lovelies and happy April! I hope things have been good with all of you these past couple of days as we come into a new month of the year.
Today I wanted to talk about what to expect from me in the coming month in terms of my content! As always, I try to post a blog every Monday (which by the way, if there's anything you all want me to write about, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message!) and I'm cranking out more skits for you all as you read this! There's a lot of awesome stuff upcoming that I'm super pumped to share with all of you! First up, the biggest thing, I will be attending Wicked Con in Boston this April! I know as of right now I will for certain be there on the 22nd, and tentatively the 23rd as well. I'm so excited to head into another Con and to be able to connect with you all. If you happen to be going to Wicked Con and cross paths with me, please stop me and say hello! One of my absolute favorite parts of going to conventions is being able to interact with all of you off-screen, and I can't wait for that again! This is also coming up upon what I like to call Busy-Jess-Season, because I have a lot of awesome little things happening within the next few months that I get to look forward to! Even if it's just hanging out with family and friends in some capacity, I'm super excited to have some cool events to work towards as the weather starts to warm up and events start to happen again. In terms of watch parties, we are almost at the end of our Daredevil Watch Parties! We will be watching the last two episodes on April 14th (a Friday this time!) and I can't believe we're almost done! Thank you to all of you who have come along for the ride as I watched this for the very first time <3 I've been busying myself with my work, and also working through some mental health roadblocks (this is your reminder to TAKE BREAKS. I took a much needed three-day break this weekend, hence the lack of content, and it already made me feel SO much better!). Yet another reason I'm looking forward to that warm weather again! I want to spend so much time outside! That's all for me right now! Lots of little things coming as they happen, and I am so excited to chat and interact with you all as the month continues! Have an awesome Monday, and I'm sending you all lots of virtual hugs! -FPP <3 P.S. UM that Secret Invasions trailer yesterday?! I'M STOKED! Maybe a future blog post breaking that one down soon? ;) |
